Competition is fierce – yet spirited - in the arts community as local artists, groups, and individuals compete in a canned food sculpture contest for charity, a painted window contest, or “see” food – but not necessarily “sea” food - in arts and dining experiences throughout downtown Plattsburgh.
Kids’ arts attractions, activities, music and a surprise visit from a friendly lake monster are all part of the “See Art” cultural fun. A “Jumpin’ in July” party, and Art Walk round out the arts corridor venues. It takes a community to grow a festival. In this “Community Does Matter” year, organizations and individuals are invited to create their own Mayor’s Cup event.
